Started in the year 1985, by
Mr.K.E.Ragunaathan, an Engineer with specialization in the field of
Solar Energy, as a first generation entrepreneur.
Initially,
started for manufacturing of Solar Water Heating Systems
for domestic and Industrial use.
In 1993,
entered
into a partnership with a German professor Dr.Schwarzer, for the
manufacturing of Solar Meal Maker for the world market, with his
technical support. This product is the invention of Dr.Schwarzer, and
is being manufactured only in INDIA for the world market.
In
the year 1996, the company was converted into a closely held public
limited company.

the field of solar energy in India.
Manufactures
both Solar Thermal and Solar PV products
Developed products such as
Solar Lantern, Solar Home Lighting System, Solar
Street Lighting Systems with the approval of quality
from Ministry of Non Conventional Energy Sources, New Delhi.
Supply
these products for Government driven programmes under subsidy schemes.
Developed 8 different models of
SUN-UPS which are very
innovative in its design and cost effective in the market for direct use in homes, small offices and in
offices, as an alternate to electricity in case of power failure.

about 17000 customers.

power for meeting Social needs and has installed SOLAR POWERED BUS SHELTER, SOLAR POWERED TRAFFIC SIGNALS all under sponsorship
driven programmes aimed at providing comforts to common man and
thereby increase the awareness of use of solar energy in the minds of
the public.
